This was a beautiful old farmhouse in a stunning location but had sadly been very neglected by the owners. The building was very damp. The Stanley stove was complicated to work out especially on arrival when tired after traveling. We had to keep the doors closed on two rooms to reduce the smell of damp and the spores. After booking we were asked for £100 deposit on the oil for heat and water and told we would be returned a sum for unused oil within a week. We put the Stanley off after 2 nights and after 2weeks still have not had any money returned. There seemed to be no means of measuring the use of oil in any event. The approach lane was impassable in out car, uneven, wet and steep sided potholes. We loved the house & location but it looks like the owners never check in & simply take the money. Very disappointing & such a shame to let such a lovely house fall into ruin.
