A unique property, full of character with hand crafted wooden features. Discover NT properties, Chester and much more, all within easy reach.

This detached, character cottage, adjacent to the owner’s home, has been skilfully converted from 18th-century sandstone farm buildings to make a delightful holiday property with character features including beams, wooden floors, exposed stone walls, wooden panelling and handmade wooden features. The property benefits from level access to the ground floor, with a living room, kitchen/dining room and a wet room. The first floor bathroom features a corner bath with exposed wooden vaulted ceiling. In inclement weather, a Wii will keep all the family entertained indoors, and wi-fi is available for those who wish to stay in touch with family and friends, or just to plan the following day’s excursion. On the warmer evenings, why not have a barbecue on the patio while the children play on the lawn. There is also ample parking and a cycle store for guests who wish to leave the car behind and experience the scenery from the saddle. Just a few miles away is picturesque Llangollen, home of the annual International Eisteddfod Music Festival and the Llangollen Steam Railway. The unique horse drawn boats operate from the Llangollen Wharf along the five mile stretch of the Llangollen Canal, now designated as a World Heritage Site. For visitors with a head for heights, take a boat trip along the canal over the world famous Pontcysylite Aqueduct through the picturesque Dee Valley. Also close by are the wonderful National Trust properties at Chirk Castle and Erddig, whilst the historic city of Chester, with its shopping, cathedral, racecourse and city walls, is within easy reach. For a family day out, why not visit Chester Zoo, with its themed islands. Beamed living room with wooden floor. Kitchen/dining room with TV and wooden floor. Wet room with toilet. First floor: Double bedroom. Twin bedroom with TV. Bathroom with corner bath and toilet.
